Родина слышит, or Motherland Hears is an extremely patriotic Soviet piece famously whistled by Yuri Gagarin during his flight aboard Vostok 3KA. It has the distinction of being the first song ever to be sung in space, which is pretty awesome if I dare say so myself (and let me tell you- I dare say). Unfortunately, nobody seems to have the recording of Comrade Gagarin, but there's another rendition available for download here.

It seemed to be nearly impossible to find a full English translation of the song, so I took the liberty of translating it myself. It should, however, be noted that I am not a native speaker of Russian. I once translated a comic into Russian only to have all of the Russian readers of said comic come out of the wordwork just to laugh at me. That said, I think I did a pretty good job.
